A crystal nutcracker priced at £20,650 has gone up for sale at Harrods this Christmas.
The department store has just dropped what might be the most extravagant Christmas decoration of the season – a 65cm Waterford nutcracker made entirely of lead crystal.
Priced at a staggering £20,650, the giant nutcracker is part of Waterford’s prestigious Mastercraft collection.

Each piece is handcrafted in Ireland, with five artisanal craftsmen spending over 100 hours on its creation.

Weighing in at 15.5kg, this isn’t your typical holiday ornament.
The listing, shared on What’s The Jam, reads: “A recognisable silhouette, even in lead crystal.
“Nothing symbolises Christmas time quite like a Nutcracker.
“Waterford’s take on the iconic ornament is crafted in its signature lead crystal, with graphic linear cuts defining its clean, 65cm-tall silhouette.

“Place it upon your mantelpiece or at the centre of your Christmas table to spark some festive cheer.”
Harrods even provides eco-friendly packaging tailored for the hefty crystal showpiece for delivery.
When compared to other designer nutcrackers, like Swarovski’s £850 version, the Waterford version shows how high-end Christmas décor can really get.
