An embarrassed shopper returned a Christmas tree ornament after realising her scarf snatched them off the shelf.
Alayah McLean was left red in the face after her festive trip to the shops ended up with the blunder.
The 30-year-old was sporting a cosy scarf whilst braving the cold when she realised an odd pair of items hanging on the thread.

The cruise singer and aesthetician had unknowingly taken two Christmas tree ornaments straight off a shop shelf.
The pair of £1.45 mini trees had got caught on the material of Alayah’s scarf.
The 30-year-old had been browsing in Søstrene Grene in the Grand Central shopping centre, Birmingham.
Half an hour after being in the shop, she noticed the items which she couldn’t return until the following day.
It happened last Thursday (19 Dec) before she returned to the shop to give the trees back.

“Why was that so embarrassing,” Alayah, from Birmingham, told What’s The Jam.
“I didn’t have time to go back to the store as it was on the other side of town.
“I had clients booked after shopping, and I was on a tight schedule.

“The girl at the till was completely normal and un phased by it.
“My family and friends found it hilarious.
“I didn’t expect it to go viral and for some people to be upset about me not instantly returning it.”
