Only Fools and Horses character Uncle Albert’s WW2 medal has fetched £1,100 at auction.

The 1939-45 Star was worn by actor Buster Merryfield in the cult BBC sitcom.

Only a handful of medals were used in filming.

It was sold in a 32cm by 27cm frame and a photo of Sir David actually wearing it.
