Dara Ó Briain ended up sitting in front of Miriam Margolyes on a flight with a fan cheekily asking one thing.
The comedian was delighted to discover the “national treasure” was on his flight home from Edinburgh Fringe Festival.
The 52-year-old Irish funnyman had just finished a stint at the world’s largest performance arts festival.

None other than actress Miriam Margolyes was also travelling home from Scotland, as reported by What’s The Jam.
Dara said: “One final treat from the Edinburgh Fringe.
“In the seat behind me on the plane home was genuine National Treasure, Miriam Margolyes, and she was exactly as delightful as you would hope.”
Fans were quick to joke about the encounter.
One referenced Miriam who was accused of parping on This Morning in 2021.

Iain quipped: “Did she fart? Love both of you.”
Sue said: “You had guaranteed craic on the way home.
“I would have loved to have been a fly on the wall.”

A third added: “She looks every inch the mischievous imp, which is fantastic.”
Serena said: “ I b*oody love her, she’s a legend.
“You’re alright too, I suppose.”
Nigel added: “Oh my word. I detest flying but would happily have been on that plane if in earshot of you both!”
Dara is proving to be quite the jet setter.
Just a few weeks ago he was spotted at Disneyland Paris praising the Ratatouille ride while taking a break from cheering Ireland on at the Olympics Games.
