Brits have been left divided after Cadbury unveiled a bizarre new watermelon-flavoured Dairy Milk bar.
The limited-edition 180g block combines the chocolate giant’s classic Dairy Milk with a flowing hot-pink fondant centre bursting with sweet watermelon flavour.
The unusual creation is part of a collaboration between Cadbury and Australian cosmetics brand MCoBeauty.

Inspired by the beauty company’s Watermelon Glow range, the collaboration brings together the unlikely worlds of chocolate and make-up.
The wider collection includes a Cadbury-themed eyeshadow palette, lip peptide treatment and an Icons Collection featuring mascara, eyeliner, pressed powder and a setting puff, as reported by Whats The Jam.
Lucy Robinson, head of marketing at MCoBeauty, said: “We’ve always believed beauty should be fun, accessible and a little unexpected.
“So when the opportunity came to bring the iconic Cadbury Dairy Milk experience into beauty, it was an easy yes.”
Katrina Watson, ANZ director of chocolate and meals at Cadbury owner Mondelēz International, said the collaboration was designed to “spark conversation” and give customers new ways to engage with the two brands.

She added: “We’re proud to have created something joyful and disruptive together and we can’t wait to see how consumers respond.”
And the unusual chocolate flavour has certainly got people talking – with Brits split over the fruity combination.
Responding to a post by popular food page NewfoodsUK, one person said: “Gosh, I would actually try this!!! Looks so good. They need to make it.”

Another fan appeared completely won over, writing: “This is the most beautiful thing I’ve ever seen!
“There’s chocolate on my phone!
“Made outta watermelone!!!”
But another wasn’t so sure, commenting: “Not sure how I feel about this!!!”
There is, however, a catch for curious Brits hoping to get their hands on a bar.
The watermelon Dairy Milk has officially launched in Australia, where it is available exclusively through Woolworths.
It is not currently stocked by UK supermarkets and there has been no announcement on whether it will receive an official British release.
However, imported bars are available to order from specialist retailer World Snacks UK for £7.99.
