Brits are flocking to a fake Wetherspoons 5,000 miles away that serves £2.34 pints and shows Premier League matches, unlike the real thing.
The boozer is beating the beloved pub chain at its own game by showing live sport.
While Wetherspoons in the UK famously refuses to screen league football, a lookalike boozer in Pattaya, Thailand, is pulling in punters with cheap pints and wall-to-wall sports coverage.

Witherspoons – the Thai take on the classic British chain – sells pints for just £2.34 and screens everything from Premier League clashes to NFL games, as reported by What’s The Jam.
Back home, Wetherspoons doesn’t show Sky or TNT matches, only making rare exceptions for massive events like the World Cup.
The chain avoids live sport to dodge pricey broadcast fees – and the rowdy atmosphere that can come with it.

But over in Pattaya, it’s a different story.
Over the weekend, the bar screened nine Premier League games, Wales vs South Africa in the rugby, and the Qatar F1 Grand Prix.

The venue is packed with 35 TVs, blasting sports from every angle.
A spokesperson for Wetherspoons said: “Saturday’s already underway and the football is rolling across every screen in the bar.
“Every EPL match on today’s slate is live, loud, and running straight through the afternoon and night.

“And once we wrap up tonight’s fixtures, the full Sunday schedule follows tomorrow – all listed below with today’s games so you know exactly what’s coming.

“Find a seat, get something cold in your hand, and let the weekend’s football run right through Witherspoons.
“35 TVs, air con area, great atmosphere and great food.
“Come and join us.”
With Premier League footy, cheap booze and air-con, it might just be the ultimate Spoons upgrade – if you don’t mind the 12-hour flight.
