A woman was left horrified after using her bath’s jacuzzi jets for the first time – only for it to flood the tub with mouldy water.
Sara Brown shared a video of the disgusting moment on TikTok, where it has garnered 24 million views.
The homeowner has been in the house since 2019 but only recently decided to test out the hot tub function in her bath.

But, after removing their plastic covers, the 33-year-old found they were “mould central”, and decided to try and clean them, turning them on and adding a dishwasher pod.
To her horror, the water immediately turned black.
“I was honestly in shock and have never seen anything like it,” the hairstylist, from Illinois, US, told What’s The Jam.

“I was immediately grossed out.
“I had been scrolling on TikTok and was seeing a lot of videos of people cleaning their jetted tubs and remembered I had never tried to use mine, and I was honestly curious on what would come out, so I decided to go for it.”

Sara believes the jets hadn’t been used in more than a decade, having lived in the home for six years herself, and having confirmation that the previous owners never used them.
In the video, which has racked up more than two million likes on the app, Sara is audibly shocked to see the filth that comes out of the jets.
She calls it “f***ing disgusting” and describes the scene as “mould central”.

One person commented: “That was so much worse than I could’ve imagined.”

“All the bath toys. Are your kids bathing in there?!” another viewer asked.
Someone else wrote: “INSTANT black water OMG.”
“WHY IS IT PITCH BLACK,” said another horrified user.
“I’d need a new tub because ew,” added someone else.

Sara used dishwasher pods to try and clean the area following the shocking first use.
Sara added: “I want everyone to be inspired to clean theirs out if they have a jetted tub because you never know what can come from it!
“I now have millions of people criticising me on the internet but I also don’t mind because I’m not perfect and my house isn’t perfect.
“If someone can relate to me and feel seen, I’ve done my job but putting myself out there!”
