A Vinted user was horrified to stumble upon the listing of a “baby” on the app – which turned out to be a life-like doll.
The ‘reborn baby boy’ was listed for £65 online, with the seller describing it as 48cm and weighing 0.9kg.
Despite being in the category ‘Dolls’ and being listed as ‘New with tags’, one customer mistook it for a real baby – and issued a stern message to the seller.
In an exchange which has gone viral on Instagram with 10,000 likes, the customer wrote: “How can you sell your baby on Vinted?

“This is absolutely disgusting you should be ashamed of yourself.
“This is not the way to bring a human being into the world, what kind of life will they live?
“Please remove this and think about your actions.”
The seller replied simply: “It’s literally a doll babe.”
The toy can be seen nestled into a blanket with a cuddly animal next to it, and is described as a “gorgeous reborn baby bow NOW £65”.
The listing reads: “He’s 48cm and weighs 0.9kg, he has a very life like face and lovely painted hair.
“He wears newborn size clothes.
“He will come with clothes and blanket, and a magnetic dummy.”
Instagram users were left in stitches at the mishap.
One person quipped: “New with tags umbilical chord included.”
“Not sure how many mothers would describe their baby as having ‘a very lifelike face and painted hair’,” another viewer pointed out.
Someone else added: “There’s no way the buyer is this naive and gullible. I refuse to believe it.”
“Tbh it’s an under-reaction considering she thought it was real,” said another viewer.
Another person joked: “I don’t hate the potential buyer for this. She has compassion and bad eyesight.”
“Tbf it does look quite realistic,” one user said.
