Starbucks has left customers baffled after releasing a new product: a braised pork latte.
The coffee chain has reportedly launched the limited-edition drink in celebration of the Year of the Dragon, at £7.50 a pop.
The product, called the ‘Lucky Savory Latte’ is composed of braised pork flavour sauce, espresso and steamed milk.
It is then finished off with some more meaty sauce and a chunk of fried pork breast.
The dragon is the fifth animal in the Chinese zodiac and recent dragon years include 1952, 1964, 1976, 1988, 2000, and 2012.

It is a powerful sign – personality traits of people born in this year are considered to be charismatic, intelligent, confident, gifted and naturally lucky.
The Chinese horoscope predicts a prosperous year for the dragon, representing authority, prosperity, good fortune… and more.
So perhaps it makes sense that there is also a special latte for the occasion.
But, if you’re keen to give it a go, we have bad news… it’s only available in selected stores in Shanghai and Wuhan, China.
Starbucks told local news that the flavour of its latest drink is “relatively unique”, as well as “dense and smooth”.
But the taste of braised pork was “not obvious”.
Jam Press has contacted Starbucks for comment.
