A 78-year-old city mayor has delighted his constituents by breakdancing on stage.
Abel Caballero could be seen bopping with folded arms as hip-hop beats blared in the background.
Locals watched as the politician – dressed in a crisp white shirt and black jeans – lowered himself onto his bum.

With a wide grin, he spun around on the wooden platform as the crowd cheered wildly.
Caballero busted the playful moves at the urban culture festival O Marisquiño in Vigo, Spain.
He’s been mayor of the north-western city since 2007 and is now in his fifth term.
He shared the video yesterday (11 Aug) and it has already racked up an impressive 126,000 views, as reported by What’s The Jam.
Caballero – who belongs to a regional branch of Spain’s ruling Socialists – also has a UK connection, holding a master’s from Essex and a PhD from Cambridge, both in economics.

His dance moves were even compared to those of Australian professional breakdancer Rachael Gunn, better known around the world as Raygun, who went viral after her performance at the 2024 Paris Olympics.
Lau commented: “He really threw himself into it. Long live the laughs!”

More said: “It’s the effort that counts. He’s got it – not afraid to make a fool of himself.”

Daniel added: “And besides break-dancing, he’s a top-notch mayor.”
Jon joked: “He actually did it better than that Olympic girl.”

Another Daniel admitted: “I’m quite a few years younger than you, and I’d love to move like that.”
And Ana remarked: “Next year it’s got to be shorts, a T-shirt, and a cap. You’re a legend.”
