An amphibious car got stuck in a canal during a national holiday.
The mishap was filmed by a TikToker called David during celebrations on Saturday (26 April).
The vehicle, which was designed to traverse water as well as land, broke down in Amsterdam during the annual Kingsday festivities – a Dutch holiday that celebrates the birthday of King Willem-Alexander.

The occupants were seen using containers to scoop and throw water out of the car.
“It’s a car they adapted to travel through water, but it flooded,” David told What’s The Jam.
“The video captures the moment they bailed out the water.
“They were able to navigate afterwards.”
In a second video, the car can be seen in working order.
