An incredibly creepy elf has been caught seemingly coming to life underneath a Christmas tree in terrifying footage shared online.
TikTok user Verbatim uploaded the bone-chilling clip to the social media platform.
It has now racked up over 23 million views.

The young woman says she set up a surveillance camera in the living room of her home but had no idea she’d end up capturing what appears to be some kind of paranormal activity.
The standing elf decoration was propped up next to a Father Christmas and reindeer.
They all appear to be made of soft fabric and stuffing, similar to that of a plush toy.
In the video, the elf’s hat can be seen in the bottom right as it stands in front of the Christmas tree.
Suddenly, it begins to move slowly away from the tree before turning at a 45 degree angle.

With its face and arms in view, it comes to a stop.
Its eyes appear to stare into the camera.
There doesn’t appear to be anything in the room moving the decoration.

And it was captured in the dead of night, at 3.15am on 29 November.
The creepy clip, filmed in the woman’s home in Mexico, has driven social media users wild, as reported by What’s The Jam.
The video attracted over 22,000 comments.
One person compared the moment to something out of Toy Story or the video game Five Nights at Freddy’s.
Angel wrote: “Christmas but make it scary.”
Isabella commented: “My grandma had elves that would move around the house.”
