A shocked man is convinced he spotted the Loch Ness monster.
Peter Hoyle was visiting the famous water when he spotted a dark shape.
He said it was sticking out of the surface of the loch.

Peter said he was moving quickly, and he saw it for up to 30 seconds.
The mysterious object – certain it was Nessie – then vanished back into the murky loch, near Inverness, Scotland.

Peter lives in nearby Moray.
But it comes as sightings are down for the second year in a row.
There have only been four this year recorded by The Official Loch Ness Monster Sightings Register.

There were only three in 2024.
But the year before, there were 10, and there were six in 2022 and seven in 2021, as reported on What’s The Jam.
A report of the latest Loch Ness Monster sighting said: “Peter Hoyle, visiting from Moray, reported seeing a dark shape sticking out of the water.

“It was moving from the right side of the loch to the left from the middle.
“He said it disappeared before reaching shore and was moving fairly quickly, but not speedboat speed.
“The sighting took place for 20 to 30 seconds.”
Peter said he saw it at 1:30pm on 15 October.
In January this year, a 20ft object was seen on the loch and was thought it be the folklore beast.
In August 2023, holidaymaker, Steve Valentine, thought he saw Nessie while on a boat with his family.

He managed to take a chilling snap of the unexplained blob on the water.
