Seasoned deep sea fisherman left stunned by latest bizarre catch

A deep sea fisherman has shared his latest bizarre catch – and it’s something he has never seen before.

Roman Fedortsov regularly goes viral with his series of strange and otherworldly finds.

While he has previously hauled up any number of odd sea creatures, he shared a clip this week with his 600,000 Instagram followers of something he has never come across before.

In the video, a large grey fish can be seen with a bulbous lesion protruding out of its mouth.

Roman, who works on a trawler in Murmansk in the northwest part of Russia, said the fish has a “sick tooth”, accounting for the strange appearance, and did not identify the creature.

Followers likened it to a “cold sore”, while others joked that it appeared to have a “botched” appearance, reports What’s The Jam.

One user wrote: “Botox and filler.”

“What are you waiting for, just give it a kiss?” another joked.

Someone else commented: “Botched lip job.”

“Now this is a weird one,” another follower said.

One user identified the strange creature as a wolf eel, though this wasn’t confirmed by the fisherman.

Roman previously made headlines after sharing another unique catch – a crab that he likened to Donald Trump.

With a ‘frowning’ expression, pursed ‘lips’ and, of course, a bright orange hue, fans of the fisherman were quick to liken the crustacean to the politician.

A picture of the find garnered thousands of likes.
