A lock of Marilyn Monroe’s hair has gone up for sale on eBay for a whopping £14,000 ($17,850).
Fans can become the proud owners of thirty strands from the late Hollywood actress and model’s barnet.
The piece was originally put together by Monroe’s hairdresser Kenneth Battelle, as reported by What’s The Jam.
Battelle cut and styled the icon’s hair for four years, from 1958 up until her death in 1962.

The lock of hair was part of a collection of relics made by the hairdresser over 50 years ago.
This is now reportedly one of the last remaining items from that collection.
Listed by Heritage Historics on eBay on behalf of Golden Objects, the lock of hair is truly a one-of-a-kind.
The tresses are presented in a metal frame, enclosed inside a glass case which is then stored inside a green box.
The piece is also accompanied by a photograph of Marilyn Monroe and Mr Kenneth’s hairdresser’s logo.
Golden Objects described the piece as: “Extremely rare and amazing presentation of the fabulous Marilyn Monroe’s hair relic.
“A substantial amount of about 3″ long, 30 strands of Marilyn Monroe’s hair, neatly tied in a knot encased in a small metal frame enclosed in a glass frame.
“The lock of hair and its container are presented in a larger green paper box measuring two by three Inches.
“This extremely rare lock of Marilyn Monroe hair arises from Kenneth Battelle who was a hairdresser for Marilyn Monroe.
“He had created a few presentation pieces more than 50 years back.
“Many of those are lost in time and now only two to three pieces exist in the whole world!
“A rare opportunity to acquire such a prominent, eminent and renowned piece of Marilyn Monroe, the most iconic star of the twentieth century.”
