Posh Tottenham fans have been mocked for taking Gordon’s gin and Pernod in optics on a train to their Europa League clash with Rangers.

The intrepid supporters set off on their four-and-a-half hour, 415 mile trip from London to Glasgow yesterday (12 Dec) morning.

But to keep them entertained on their journey by rail they packed the mobile, pub-style spirit holder and dispenser.

The group also had a tub of sliced lemon and lime, a bucket of ice, glass tumblers and an array of snacks.

A bottle of Innocent orange juice, Coca Cola and a can of mixed gin was also on the table.

West Ham fan Steve Hickey quipped: “They’re getting battered.

“Everywhere they go.”

Another supporter said: “Blimey how times have changed.

“Case of Stella and bacon butties back in the day.”

A third footy nut joked: “Nothing says ‘lads away day’ quite like an ice bucket and perfectly sliced lemons.”

But others hailed the makeshift bar.

Aston Villa fan Paul Jones said: “Very classy.”

Another added: “All I care about is that ice?

“Do they carry a freezer?”

Spurs drew 1-1 with the Rangers at Ibrox last (12 Dec) night.

The Scottish giants took the lead in the 47th minute through a Hamza Igamane strike.

But sub Dejan Kulusevski equalised for the Premier League side with 15 minutes remaining.

In March, Portsmouth fans also took optics on a four-and-a-half hour trip for their League One clash with Peterborough, as reported on What’s The Jam.
