Everton have annoyed their fans by hiking the price of their doughnuts by £4 to £6.50 at new stadium

The Premier League club have moved into their new 52,000-capacity ground this season after leaving Goodison Park.

The club sells iconic blue toffee doughnuts on matchdays – due to their nickname.

The snacks also have toffee pieces on top alongside the Everton club crest.

The club’s website reads: “Evertonians visiting Hill Dickinson Stadium can look forward to a wide variety of food and drink options across all concourses.

“With something to satisfy every appetite, from gourmet burgers to iconic blue toffee doughnuts.”

But they now cost £6.50 at the Hill Dickinson Stadium – at Bramley-Moore Dock in Liverpool.

This is compared to just £2.50 at their historic old ground, as reported on What’s The Jam.

The 39,000 capacity Goodison Park was their home since 1892 and is currently hosting women’s matches.

One Toffees fan fumed: “Goodison Park £2.50.

“Bramley Moore £6.50.

“Make that make sense.”

Jamie said: “Surely that’s a typo? £6.50!”

Mitch added: “Pure greed, new Everton.”

Another said: “If you can sell it cheaper at Goodison, it should be the same price at Hill Dickinson Stadium.

“I hate how inconsistent the prices at the Hill Dickinson Stadium are.

“This is why I didn’t spend a penny on refreshments at the Brighton game.”

Everton are unbeaten so far at their new stadium and sit ninth in the league.

They currently have Man City ace Jack Grealish on loan for the rest of the season.

Fan Jane Taylor quipped: “If it goes into the Grealish fund, I’ll have two.”

Everton have been approached for comment.
