A woman says she and her boyfriend of six years have separate social lives… and bedrooms.

Nelly London hit back at critics who mocked their relationship.

The 30-year-old is very open about how she and her fella live.

Despite having the option to spend the night with one another, they have given themselves their own spaces.

Keeping all of their personal items in their own rooms at their home in Brighton, they even stick to doing their own laundry.

Whilst speaking about her relationship, Nelly also revealed that they prefer to keep their social lives separate as well.

The couple do not share a hobby together and have their own sets of friends where they do not encroach on each other’s alone time.

The influencer stated that in a previous relationship when her ex joined the gym she went to, she didn’t ever want to see him there.

Claiming that it ruined workouts for her and that she needed that space to have her alone time.

In the relationship, the couple also have no family expectations for one another, with no commitments to visit their in-laws.

Nelly said: “These are some things that me and my partner of six years do that just make sense — separate bedrooms.

“This is one that people think is so much deeper than it actually is but because we can, we have separate bedrooms.

“He has all his stuff in one, I have all my stuff in the other.

“Most of the time we do sleep in the same bed together, but if at any time any of us don’t feel like sleeping in the same bed, we just don’t.

“It’s honestly so nice.

“We have entirely different interests, we don’t go to the gym together, we don’t have a little hobby that we share together… in fact we have very different lives.

“Different jobs, different friends, different interests, different hobbies and we don’t encroach on each other’s stuff.

“We do have the most important thing in common, which is each other.

“One of my ex-boyfriends joined the gym that I went to and I just didn’t know to tell him I needed that space to be on my own and that I didn’t ever want to see him at the gym.

“It really ruined the gym for me.

“This one — I get why people might think it’s a little bit sensitive.

“If I’m visiting my family or he’s visiting his we both know the other is always invited but there isn’t an expectation placed there for the other one to come.

“We’re both allowed to just be honest and say we just don’t wanna go.

“Both of us choose to take that option quite a lot.

“We are obviously not perfect and neither is our relationship.

“We’ve been together for six nearly seven years and I’m sure there’s going to be a lot more stuff that needs figuring out in the future.

“But that is the stuff that really works for us or has saved us so many disagreements.”

Members of the public were shocked by the controversial nature of Nelly’s relationship.

One said: “If it works for you then fair play, sounds like you just don’t want to be in a relationship though.”

Another said: “This sounds like a non relationship.”

Another asked: “I completely respect this and your relationship is all your own.

“But I don’t understand how you can lead pretty separate lives or not have common interests.

“How do you maintain romance and interest?”
