The student and model add dairy butter to pawpaw balm ointment and says the combination has cleared up her acne and uneven skin.
“It works wonders – my family all use it and all have perfect skin,” Kidist, from Perth, Australia, told What’s The Jam.
“I mix unsalted butter and pawpaw balm ointment together and leave it on for a minimum of 30 minutes, or overnight.
“It clears dark spots, brightens skin complexion, hydration, reduces wrinkles, reduces sun damage.

“I use this three times a week and prefer to leave it on overnight.
“I have had stubborn dark spots and milia scars.

She said it overall gives “nice, smooth, and clear skin” and helps with damage – though she warns not to go outside in the sun with the mask on.
In the clip, shared on her Instagram, Kidist shows how she makes the mask before applying it.
But Instagram viewers were less than impressed by the controversial key ingredient.
One person commented: “That’s disgusting and not good for your skin.”
“Did she just…put… BUTTER on her face?!?!?” another user said.
Another person added: “People be doing anything and calling it skincare.”
“Hell nah,” another critic said.
Someone else commented: “Imagine the smell and stain on ur pillow.”
“Did she just put DAIRY on her FACE… like human skin?” one viewer asked.
“Ain’t no way,” another viewer added.
Someone else asked if she was “trolling” with the unique tip.
“Wait I must be stupid, is this satire?” Another user said.
Another critic added: “Repeat after me: food should not be put on your f***ing face.”
Kidist said of the reaction: “They have been quite funny and the majority are negative – although it was expected before I posted the video.
“Western society is clearly not used to seeing traditional natural remedies like these.
“I have got many more though!”
