You can now live out your railway dreams and spend the night on a train.

For two nights minimum, train enthusiasts have the opportunity to book a stay for up to two guests in the popular abode.

Nestled in the hills of the Welsh Abergavenny mountains, the carriage can be seen sitting on an open field, with a classic arched roof and small chimney.

Once inside, the comfy double bed can be seen to the right, as well as two comfy lounge chairs that face straight out the door windows – admiring the mountains in the distance.

There is also an open fire in this area, making it the perfect spot for keeping warm.

To the left, the kitchen comes with an oven, fridge, sink and all other amenities possibly needed.

Further down the carriage, there is the bathroom, decorated completely with dark wood, a shower, toilet and fluffy towels.

Lastly, there is a utility room, with space for coats and shoes, as well as a shed area with a BBQ, pizza oven welly boot stand.

Travelling outside there the decking boasts a table and a couple of chairs – the perfect spot to admire the mountains.

The train carriage getaway is ‘comfortably wild’ and the perfect spot to escape the everyday.

The listing, from owner Bryony Gittins, reads: “Welcome to our uniquely restored railway carriage in a secluded spot on the beautiful Welsh border.

“Lovingly converted with modern facilities.

“The main carriage is for living, eating and sleeping with a wood fire, ensuring it’s warm and snug.

“No phone, no internet. Just you, the views and nature in the fabulous Llanthony Valley.”

No pets are allowed here as the carriage is situated on the owner’s field, which is usually in use for farm animals.

The prices start at £250 for two nights and guests will be responsible for their own travel to and from the site.

Whether you’re a train enthusiast or just love the great outdoors, you can book a stay through Airbnb now.
