Bunkers seem to be all the rage on the property market these days.
But, if you can’t afford your very own underground home, how about just holidaying in one?
A former bomb shelter has been transformed into the ultimate getaway for doomsday preppers and tourists alike.
Nestled into a cave, the Beckham Creek Cave is located in the Ozark Mountains in Parthenon, Arkansas, around 12 miles from the Buffalo National River.

The four-bed property was originally used as a safety zone during the early 1980s when the threat of a nuclear war with the Soviet Union loomed.
In the years since, the shelter has been put through a number of renovations, with the most recent taking three years and costing $1m, (£787, 278.99).
Now, it’s a unique holiday home for anyone looking for a once-in-a-lifetime stay.
From outside, the cave has a porch, sitting area and front door, just like any other house.

However, upon entering, you will spot the incredible exposed walls of the cave, as well as steps up to the kitchen, and more down to a sitting area.
The cooking area is designed with modern features including an island, double oven and overhead lighting.
There is also a long dining table and wooden bar.

Meanwhile, in the living room, there are two big, cosy sofas, as well as a TV mounted to the cave wall.
Down a hallway, you’ll find a bathroom and two of the smaller bedrooms.
On the upper level, there are two more bedrooms including the stunning master – complete with a huge, circular bed and dangling fairy lights, making it the most magical room of them all.

If you feel the need for fresh air, there’s plenty to do outside including exploring the woods, nearby rivers or gardens.
The location is also just a short drive from tourist-friendly locations including Eureka Springs, Arkansas, and the ‘Live Entertainment Capital of the World’ Branson, Missouri.
A night’s stay in the bomb shelter costs $2,200 (£1,735) a night.
