A British explorer has discovered a ‘spooky’ morgue abandoned in a cemetery – with an autopsy table and hearse left to rot.
Chloe Urbex, as she’s known online, found the abandoned site “super spooky”.
The 23-year-old has made some chilling discoveries before, such as an abandoned hospital, horror museum and disused race tracks.
But in a recent find, a couple of weeks ago, she came across the abandoned morgue, located in a cemetery.
And inside was the shell of a hearse from the Victorian era, hinting that the place hasn’t been used since the 19th century.
“I stumbled across the cemetery online while l was looking at mortuaries,” Chloe, from England, told What’s The Jam.
“There was a little bit of a spooky atmosphere due to the fact a storm hit while I was there.
“Meaning we were hit with both thunder and rain.
“Inside the mortuary, there was a hearse and autopsy table.
“But the hearse was the only thing that stood out, as the autopsy table was just a brick structure.”
In a post shared to TikTok, (@chloeurbex), the explorer reveals the dusty mortuary is in Belgium.
From the outside, there is the small building with a statue of Jesus on a sign of the cross, alongside a couple of headstones set among the pebbled grounds.
As she walks into the morgue, she sees a stone autopsy table.
She then pans the camera to show the Victorian-era hearse.
The beautiful, ancient vehicle has carriage lamp brackets, white metal detailing and large wheels.
