A soft bulldog who used to be scared of people is looking for a new home.
Jadey was so petrified of humans that she cowered in fear whenever someone approached her.
She was out of character with the breed’s tough image.

Now, the three-year-old is “brimming with confidence” after being cared for by the RSPCA.
But the pooch is still struggling to find a home nine months on.
It’s suspected that Jadey was beaten before she was taken to RSPCA’s Lancashire East branch, in Accrington, in September.
Sudden movements made her nervous and she wouldn’t let staff near her face or head.
RSPCA staff gained her trust and helped her to overcome her fear of people, as reported by What’s the Jam.

Jadey, who has become “excitable and bouncy and loves a cuddle” has also gained 13lbs since she was rescued.
Centre Manager Jeanette Ainscough said: “Jadey has been with us for nine months now and has been looking for a home for the majority of that time.
“She’s made significant progress and is now a much happier and more confident dog.

“She was so scared at first that it took a lot of time for us to be able to put a harness over her head.
“It’s taken care, patience and countless amounts of treats to get her to this point, but it’s absolutely been worth it.
“She now walks really nicely on a lead and gets excited about meeting people she doesn’t know, so the change in her has been fantastic to see.
“She’s got character and personality in abundance but surprisingly we’ve had very little rehoming interest in her and she’s now one of our longest-staying dogs.”
Jadey is comfortable seeing other dogs from a distance, but prefers not to come face-to-face with them and enjoys her own space.
A home when she can go on walks and have limited interaction with other canines is preferred.
She also loves her toys, especially a peanut butter kong, although she can be excitable and bouncy so a cat-free home with older children would suit her best.
As is common with the breed, Jadey does have poor confirmation and is currently on joint supplements to help with this.
