Playful penguins frolicked in a Total Wipeout-style game as their pool got cleaned.
The colony could not resist the power of the water jets.
Each penguin took turns jumping in front of the shooting water before being shot around the pool bank.

Workers at Newquay Zoo, Cornwall were left in stitches by the birds behaving badly.
The pool enclosure was given a fresh clean by keeper Dan.
Luckily for him the penguins had no interest in his work, making a beeline for the fast moving water.
The colony of Humboldt penguins are actually native to the coasts of Chile and Peru, as reported by What’s The Jam.
A spokesperson for Newquay Zoo said: “Humboldt penguins are currently classified as Vulnerable in the wild due to threats like habitat loss and overfishing.

“By visiting us, you’re helping to support vital conservation efforts to protect these amazing animals.
“We are so lucky to have had such a fantastic breeding year with our penguin colony in 2024, with one stand-out story being Windy and Nacho.
“30-year-old female Windy had her 23rd chick with 4-year-old Nacho, proving that love has no age limits in the penguin world.

“While keeper Dan was cleaning the pool, the penguins discovered a new game, Penguin wipeout.
“They certainly look like they’re having fun.”
Total Wipeout was a BBC show which ran from 2009 to 2020 and involved contestants taking on a water obstacle course.
