A fortune teller and psychic has revealed her unlikely protégé who assists with readings: her cat.

Sinem Salman has been reading tarot cards, among other spiritual pursuits, since she was a teenager.

But while many people in the field are one-man bands, since getting two-year-old ragdoll cat Bonjuk as a kitten, the 43-year-old has had a rather helpful assistant.

Sinem, a mum-of-four from London, says her furry companion has proven to be somewhat psychic himself, and is always involved when she works.

“Every time I open my cards and get the cloth out ready, he’s there,” she told What’s The Jam.

“Almost immediately as I start to read, he tells me what that client is feeling or their thoughts, what’s going on in their minds, what’s troubling them and if they need clarity around this situation.

“He points or lays on the cards specifically and reaches a paw out to the card.”

Sinem first noticed Bonjuk’s ‘abilities’ a year ago, when he kept coming over to her while she was doing psychic readings.

Now, he regularly appears as soon as she starts to prepare her cards.

She said: “He sits there and watches and listens to me while I’m doing readings.

“Since we have had him, he’s brought so much peace and joy into the home.

“He cries like a real human being and tries to communicate with us all in the home.

“We had family pets before but nothing like his or his character.

“If someone leaves the house for a long period of time, he waits at the door for them, and comes and goes at the door until they come back.

“He comes straight to you just by calling him now.“He’s such a beautiful soul.”

Sinem describes herself as ‘psychic-clairvoyant’, and discovered her abilities as a child.

She said: “In my childhood, I just knew that I was different.

“I used to always say things to people and predict things – like flights being delayed – and they would look at me a little bit weird and funny.

“But I’d predict something would happen and all of a sudden, a few hours would go past and what I had said would happen, did.

“On one occasion, we were driving back from London one evening and had a gut feeling that something negative was going to happen – we were burgled that evening, so when we arrived home everything was a nightmare.

“So now whenever I don’t feel good and am not getting good vibes, I change my path and change what I’m doing that day.

“I believe there’s a spiritual guide helping me, and I was always fascinated by all the magical, mystical, witchy spiritual stuff.

“When I was around seven, I’d hear birds tweeting in the middle of the night or little buzzing sounds, and I believe it was something spiritual.

“I started opening myself up to it all and I’d see things in different ways to the people around me.

“I started reading coffee cups to friends and family at the age of 18, and since then it’s grown and grown.

“It’s become normal life for me, and not a day goes by that I don’t read coffee cups.”

In adulthood, Sinem decided to put her talents to use and started advertising her services on social media, where she now has a following of over 30,000 people.

Now working full-time as a psychic, fortune teller and tarot card reader, Sinem often uses the method of reading coffee grounds or tea leaves.

She said: “I work with people all over the world, and the fascinating thing is that the person doesn’t have to be present to drink the coffee – I can also drink it in their name and still be able to tell their fortune.

“I believe I carry great spiritual energy and can often pick up on spirits through my clients’ readings.

“I’m highly psychic and my clients love this, it brings so much peace for them to connect with their loved ones.

“I love what I do – it’s the most beautiful thing ever to make others feel happy and help them gain clarity from their readings.”
