A woman has revealed the extreme amount of cash she spends on her cat every year – but says she is more than happy to foot the bill.
Fenjah Mogensen, a student, first adopted Monty in 2013, instantly falling in love with his too-far-apart eyes and short nose.
Suffering from a chromosome abnormality, the feline is also deaf, diabetic, epileptic, and previously suffered from asthma, however, he doesn’t let it stop him from enjoying his little life.
But it does mean he’s costly to look after – with his 39-year-old owner splashing £10,900 ($14,000) a year on the cat.

Sharing videos of him on TikTok (@montyandmolly ), he and his sister Molly have quickly racked up over 391,300 followers and 1.6m views.
“It’s a weird feeling but the second I saw him I knew I had to adopt him,” Fenjah from Copenhagen, Denmark, who is also CEO OF HER OWN COMPANY told What’sTheJam.co.uk.
“Like he had always been my boy and like we had just known each other forever.
“I saw Monty on my local cat shelter website back in 2013.

“He was from a hoarding situation where 20 cats had been rescued, including Monty.
“Monty was the last to find his forever home with the 19 other cats and I feel like he just waited for me.
“I was such a lost person when I met him, I had no clue what to do with my life.

“He was four years old when I adopted him and on December 1st he turned 14.
“I honestly feel like we were connected.
“It’s so weird but like we were made for each other.”
Falling in love with the feline, Fenjah took all his conditions in her stride.
However, it is by no means an easy feat.
She said: “It’s expensive and I’m so glad I got him insurance so I only have to pay 20% of everything.
“It costs around £930 ($1,200) a month for medication, sticks to measure his blood sugar, special food and things like that.”
Despite the cost, she wouldn’t trade him for anything and loves his goofy looks.
She added: “I love his eyes.
“[This] and his special nose were what I originally saw.
“He looks so special and different.
“So innocent, wise, and at the same time a little goofy.
“I think it’s [he is] perfect.”
Posting videos of Monty and his conditions on TikTok, she quickly gained over 192,300 likes and 3,100 comments from people falling in love with him.
