Experts were stunned after finding a mad mouse had gotten into a narrow tubular bird feeder and given birth.
Animal rescuer Sue Gear, who works at a vet’s, couldn’t believe it when she saw the scene.
The transparent feeder had been taken to the vets by a householder in Hollsworthy, Devon.

It had been in their garden when they spotted the mother mouse and babies inside.
Now caring Sue, who runs Born to be Wild in Bude, Cornwall, is looking after the rodent family, as reported by What’s The Jam.

She said: “It is the most bonkers thing I’ve seen for a long time.
“The bird feeder was taken into the vets.
“The little mouse must have got stuck in it and given birth.

“The bird feeder was near a hedge so the mouse must have come from there.
“I have it now and put the bird feeder into a tank with lots of bedding.
“I thought the mother would take the babies out of the tube and use the bedding material in the tank.

“But instead of moving the babies into the nice bedding, mummy has moved bedding into the bird feeder, bless her.
“There are three or four babies – I’m not sure.
“They seem to be OK at the moment.
“I’ve never seen anything quite like it before.
“I’m planning to return them all to the wild when they’re ready.”
