They also found a red Ferrari without license plates and a white Rolls-Royce with red plates.
According to the authorities, the couple said the lions belonged to the previous owner of the home, who has since returned to China.
They said the animals were being cared for by a Thai worker until the original owner had them shipped.
The bust went down in the upscale neighbourhood of Khao Talo, in Pattaya, Thailand, on the plush Siam Royal View complex.
Police chief Theerachai Chamnanmor said the super cars were confiscated and arrangements were being made to seize the lions.

Mr Chamnanmor said the couple had no paperwork related to the vehicles’ tax payments and importation.
He stated: “Initially, officers have issued a document prohibiting the Location of the lions and seized both cars for inspection.”
