The moments were captured on camera by Amy Doyle, who was at the harbour when the marine animal – who is well-known in the local community – made an appearance.
In the first clip, the animal can be seen swimming in the shallow water.
He then looks towards the beach and paddles closer.
The seal then stops to admire his audience, before a group of children gather to say hello.
He stops and admires them, before dipping his head in the water.

In another video, the seal seems to be looking right into the camera with sleepy eyes.
He then starts to roll around the ocean floor and play on his back.
Eventually the seal dips his head before slowly swimming away.

A third clip shows the seal inspecting two men and their kayak, as he bobs his head and looks into the vessel.
He watches them as they take their boat onto the shore, before backing off into the sea.
The seal showed up at Newquay harbour yesterday afternoon (18 July) at 5pm.
The area quickly got crowded with both children and adults.
After saying hello, the seal swam back towards the ocean.
