A zoo is celebrating as they’ve welcomed a brood of maned wolf pups that are classed as “near-extinction” for the first time in 70 years.
The animal, which resembles a red fox, is neither a fox or wolf.
They actually belong to the canine family and are native to South America.

Since the 1990s, they’ve been declared “near-extinction” in Uruguay and “near-threatened” by the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN).
Now, for the first time in 70 years, a group of them have been born at a zoo, reports What’s The Jam.
In a clip, racking up 328,000 views and over 59,000 likes, they reveal the pups getting used to life on Earth.
The caption said: “The three pups were born to first-time parents mum Cora and dad Rio.
“Cora has been very attentive to her littles as they perfect their big yawns and stretches, exploring their den and bonding with one another.

“These pups are an incredibly important addition to global populations of this threatened species, supporting conservation of maned wolves and their native South American habitats.”
In the video, a tiny wolf can be seen looking out to his surroundings, yawning and noticing the camera.
San Diego Zoo welcomed the pups five weeks ago, before revealing them to the world on 17 January.
