A group of tourists were left speechless after an elephant gave birth just a stone’s throw from their Jeep.
The Dutch holidaymakers were astounded as they watched the remarkable scene unfold.
An astonishing clip of the birth shows the heavily pregnant elephant walking onto the grassy roadside with her calf already protruding.

The newborn drops onto the grass as the woman filming gasps in amazement.
The calf can then be seen frolicking with its mum just yards from the vehicle.
The clip was shared by Walter’s Tours & Safaris in Tanzania on 18 July, as reported by What’s The Jam.
They said: “A special day on safari after witnessing a little elephant being born in the wild at Lake Manyara National Park.
“Did you know that elephants are one of the most intelligent and emotionally complex animals on Earth?

“Elephants have the largest brains of any land animal, and their trunks – packed with 89,000 small bundles of muscle fibres – can be used for a variety of things.
“They can leverage them to drink, grip, and even snorkel.
“Did you know it takes about a year for a calf to fully control its trunk?”
