A woman has “hit the jackpot” after scooping a Too Good To Go bag from Marks & Spencer bursting with more than £120 worth of food – for just a fiver.

Dora Brown picked up the mystery bag from one of the chain’s service stations, expecting a modest selection of items.

But instead, the 27-year-old was handed an overflowing stash stuffed with sandwiches, bread rolls, sausage rolls, soup, salad boxes, dips, pies, pizza, cheese, fruit and a mountain of yoghurts.

She later added up the haul with her partner and was stunned to discover it came to over £120 – nearly 25 times the amount she had paid.

The self-employed chocolatier couldn’t stop laughing at the incredible delivery, with Dora, from the Lake District, convinced the service station location helped her land such a bumper bag.

“We couldn’t believe how much food we received,” she told What’s The Jam. “I couldn’t stop laughing.

“I think with it being a service station, there’s less people able to collect the bags so they have more to give.

“Some of the food we gave away to family and friends but some of it was freezable.

“A lot of people found the video funny and just ridiculous that we got so much food for £5!”

Too Good To Go is a food-waste app that allows shops, restaurants and supermarkets to sell surplus stock at a fraction of the price.

Customers pay a small fee – usually between £3 and £6 – for a so-called “magic bag” filled with items nearing their sell-by date, but the exact contents remain a mystery until collection.

Despite the sheer scale of the surprise win – which cost less than the price of a coffee – Dora admits very little went to waste.

Some items were frozen, others shared with friends and family and the rest eaten over the following days.

This included lunches for her partner, Josh, 25, to take to work.

The “jackpot” bag was a one-off treat for Dora, who had only recently moved to an area where Too Good To Go was available, but it’s now gone down as one of her biggest bargains yet.

She also shared her haul to TikTok, with viewers stunned at the amount of food she landed.

“Sharing is caring,” said one person hoping for a treat.

“If you look really closely, I’m holding a plate,” joked Shannon.

“This is wild,” said someone else.
