A beachgoer was left gobsmacked after stumbling across a giant jellyfish washed up on the sand.
William was out on a stroll with his dad and uncle when they spotted the huge blob.
He said it put him off having a dip in the sea.

William found it on Formby Beach, near Liverpool, on Wednesday (27 Aug)
He told What’s The Jam: “I’d finished work and we’d gone out to get some fresh air and enjoy the sunshine.
“I live in Spain, but my family’s in Formby, so we always walk on the beach when I’m back visiting.
“I’ve been coming here for 36 years and, as far as I can remember, it’s the first time I’ve ever seen anything like that.”
William got his dad to snap a photo of the jellyfish with his foot next to it to show just how enormous it was.

He added: “My dad walks the beach all the time and says they’re actually pretty common.
“Once he even saw a dead dolphin.
“I wouldn’t fancy being stung by a jelly that size.

“Though let’s be honest, the water near the Mersey doesn’t exactly tempt you in for a swim.”
