Cagdas Halicilar is the spitting image of the mega-rich businessman, often being mistaken for him in public.
And it was made clear that he needed some protection when visiting Venice earlier this year.
The 46-year-old, who went the same week as the mogul’s coveted wedding to Lauren Sánchez, was faced with a frenzy of “crazy” fans flocking to him daily.

He says, since then, things have only gotten more “intense” and so, he’s hired three of the buff men to escort him around, costing £440 daily.
“It’s been so overwhelming lately,” the former electrician told What’s The Jam.
“After what happened in Venice, and what’s happened publicly since, I decided that I needed a bodyguard.
“I initially arranged two, but now have three.
“They’re actually friends of mine, but I’ve hired them to escort me around daily and to events.”

Cagdas says “too many people” ask him for photos and to have a conversation, thinking he’s the real deal.
And it appears employees at Amazon think so, too.
He said: “I visited one of the largest Amazon fulfilment centres in Germany.

“The employees were really excited to meet me, thinking I was Jeff, as they had never seen him in person before.
“It was a special experience for them to talk to and see the next best thing.
“A lot of Amazon sellers came up to me to talk about how they can improve or sell more, too.
“I took a close look at how everything works and learned a lot about the operations.
“It was truly fascinating.
“Now, I don’t just look like Jeff Bezos, I also know how his brain and business model work.
“If he ever needed a replacement, I’m his guy.”
In Venice, which he visited in June, he managed to lock eyes with Jeff – and even got a smile, wave and “thumbs up” from him.
But Cagdas, from Leimen, Germany, was also faced with an onslaught of camera crews following him around, mistaking him for the billionaire founder.
Other tourists joined in, thinking they had lucked out on the celebrity sighting.
It’s only gotten more hectic for Cagdas since.
He said, “Anyone who sees me in public will now rarely see me without security.
“At festivals and large events, I’ve had huge crowds.
“Paparazzi, fans and curious onlookers all want photos, quick chats, or to be close to me.
“Sometimes I can barely walk without being surrounded.
“Even during everyday moments, it can get intense.
“I’ve been to restaurants and cafés where I want to enjoy my meal in peace, but I can’t do that anymore – it’s exhausting.”
Despite the mentally taxing side to being Bezos’s lookalike, Cagdas says it’s not all bad.
He lives in a relatively small, close-knit neighbourhood, where everybody knows him and so doesn’t run into any frenzy.
And his earnings, thanks to being Jeff’s doppelgänger, have seen him rake in up to £8,800 per appearance or commercial shoot.
Cagdas added, “All I want to do is spread the same positivity and motivation as he does.
“And one day, if he ever needs it, I am happy to take over the reins.”
