An actor known as ‘Britain’s most tattooed man’ is celebrating four years without any ink.
King of Ink Land King Body Art the Extreme Ink-Ite didn’t think this day would ever come.
The 45-year-old decided to temporarily give up his much-loved passion in a bid to pay off his mortgage.
Now, he’s got just £5,000 remaining and plans to pay this off within the coming weeks.

But instead of celebrating with a new tattoo or modification, he’s chosen to spend his ink-free savings elsewhere.
“I’ve got so much more I want to do with the money,” King Of Ink Land, from Birmingham, told What’s The Jam.
“I’ve realised there’s a lot more to life during my tattoo vacation.
“Today marks four years ink-free.

“Having such a break from a regular lifestyle proves that I’m in control – [and that it’s not an addiction].
“It doesn’t seem odd anymore that I’ve not had a tattoo in so long.”
The lifestyle choice has been at the forefront of King Of Ink Land’s presence since he was just 16.

He claims to have had 1,700 hours of tattooing and currently holds the title for ‘Britain’s most tattooed man’.
Now, he’s no longer focused on this and instead is looking toward what else life has in store.
He said: “I’m lucky to have travelled the world from an early age, and I will always tell people to go visit as much as you can if the opportunity arises.
“I have family in the States and in Australia, and I can’t wait to visit them.
“There are so many other countries I want to visit, though.
“Hungary, Latvia, Romania and Sweden, just to name a few.
“Like most kids, I’ve always loved games.
“Now, I’m building my collection of retro consoles, such as Sega and the original Game Boy.”
In ode to his new passion, he’s had a custom arcade cabinet with a 32-inch screen and sound system built, costing £1,700.
He’s also dedicating his funds to artwork.
King Of Ink Land said: “I’ve got a much-loved canvas of my previous English bulldog.
“I’ve also got a Picasso-style canvas of a lady with red hair, as well as a portrait of myself.
“My most expensive piece to date cost £5,500, which is a painting of ET by Rob Oxley.
“I’m looking at a Renaissance piece of the Incredible Hulk overlooking a woman that costs £18,500 next.”
King Of Ink Land plans to stay in his humble abode, though recognises that he’s quickly “outgrowing” it.
For now, he’s celebrating these two significant milestones and hopes to keep sharing his story in a bid to tackle the “hate” surrounding people with different appearances.
He added: “I am education.
“I fully accept I am part of a non-confirming community away from what society deems as normal.
“I’m still a human underneath.”
