A chef has gone viral on TikTok after turning a popular McDonald’s meal into a strange spin on a beef Wellington – leaving viewers stunned.
Danny Kim, a content creator, has hit the headlines in the past for challenging chefs to re-create meals from takeaways.
This time, the 26-year-old has challenged a chef to create a gourmet meal from French fries and chicken nuggets, with users dubbing the bizarre dish a ‘McChicken Wellington’.
The clip, showing off the incredible food transformation, has over 5.4 million views and 436,000 likes so far. In the video, the chef starts by showing the viewers the McDonald’s food, before getting started with a chicken stock.

He adds his own thigh bones, onions, carrots and pre-made stock to a pan, before de-constructing the nuggets by adding them to a blender and making a paste.
The chef then boils spinach and finely-chopped carrots, before popping this into a bowl.
Separately, he then lays out cling film and tops it with layers of chicken skin, chicken thighs, black pepper and salt, before adding the nuggets on top – and mixing the spinach and carrot combo with cream cheese.
The ingredients are rolled into a beef Wellington shape and submerged in a sous vide bath – and later put into the oven.
Finally, the chef makes mashed potatoes with the fries.

After the Wellington has browned, he rolls it in puff pastry, scores it and puts it back in the oven to bake.
The result is pretty remarkable – with Danny rating it a “fire” 10 out of 10.
Thousands of TikTok users have rushed to the comment section to share their opinions.
