A movie mad Brit has spent £300 on a one hour flight from London to Manchester just to watch ‘The Odyssey’ in a rare cinema venue.
Husnain Ramzan jetted over 200 miles to see Christopher Nolan’s new blockbuster the way it was supposed to be viewed.
Whilst the tale follows Odysseus on his grueling 10-year journey home, the 26-year-old film fanatic took on his own quest – but opted for a quick flight over a four hour drive.

Setting off from Heathrow, Husnain landed in Manchester where he watched the movie before heading back to London hours later.
“I’m incredibly passionate about cinema,” Husnain, from Ilford, East London, told Whats The Jam.
“I wanted to experience The Odyssey in one of the few 70mm IMAX venues available in the UK.
“Christopher Nolan’s films are made with premium formats in mind, and I knew this was a cinema experience I’d remember for the rest of my life.”
Husnain took the flight on 18 Jul, where he watched the film at the Vue Manchester Printworks in 70mm IMAX on the same day.

But the film fanatic wasn’t finished there – just hours before his flight home he watched the motion picture again.
On 19 Jul, he visited the Cineworld Superscreen – his all time favourite cinema format.
Fortunately, the film – which hauled in over £198m worldwide on its opening weekend – lived up to expectation.

He said: “I absolutely loved it.
“Without giving away any spoilers, I thought it was an incredible cinematic experience and one of those films that’s best experienced on the biggest screen possible.
“It completely lived up to the excitement surrounding it.”
This is not the first time Husnain has planned his travel around watching films – with the Brit taking a number of trips to visit specific cinemas.
The content creator shared his journey online, which quickly went viral – racking up over 87,000 views.
He said: “Most people have been incredibly supportive and have understood why I wanted to make the journey.
“It’s sparked lots of conversations online, and I’ve been amazed by how many fellow film fans have shared their own stories or defended my decision in the comments.
“It’s been really heartwarming to see.
“I’d do it again in a heartbeat.
“For me, it wasn’t just about watching a film, it was about experiencing a once-in-a-lifetime presentation in one of the few cinemas capable of showing it that way.”
