Adidas selling grubby looking trainers for £170 as Brits start new year health kicks

Adidas is selling grubby looking trainers for a whopping £170.

The running shoes have gone on a sale as Brits start new year health kicks after overindulging during the Christmas period.

But the white trainers have grey scuff marks on the side of the soles.

There are also brown stains on the front of them that look like mud.

Some buyers claimed the paint also peeled off making them look even older.

The Putty Grey Ultraboost Light Shoes come in sizes 3.5 to 13.5.

The trainers are made from 20% recycled materials.

The listing on the Adidas website reads: “Keep your daily run top of mind in these Ultraboost Light running shoes.

“Featuring our lightest boost midsole yet, they help propel you forward with each stride.

“Re-engineered for maximum energy return and instant comfort, they have an Adidas Primeknit+Forged textile upper, which fits like a sock and adapts the fit as you run.

“Set your own tempo and transition effortlessly from workout to weekend in these everyday running shoes.”

It continues: “This product features at least 20% recycled materials.

“By reusing materials that have already been created, we help to reduce waste and our reliance on finite resources and reduce the footprint of the products we make.”

One shopper fumed: “Has got a painted sole.
“And the paint scraps off easily, leaving the white styrofoam exposed.

“Looks very ugly.”

Another – named Maxim – said: “I was expecting it to be a good fit but it was not.”

A third added: “One of the cheapest quality I have ever experienced.”

Yet one said: “They are really comfortable shoes and very awesome looking as well.”
