A woman has cut off her own mole after refusing to pay for a dermatologist.
Anne Marie, a comedian and content creator with over 10,900 followers on TikTok, used manicure scissors to hack off the pesky beauty mark.
The 41-year-old, who often shares funny skits and vlogs with her followers, claims she was told it could cost anywhere from £25 to £800 to be removed by a professional.

So she decided to go it alone.
“I had the mole my whole life,” Anne told What’s The Jam.

“I’d recently had headshots done when I saw that the lighting had cast a shadow on it, creating a self-made sundial!
“It was then I realised it had to go.
“Now, I feel great.

“It hasn’t grown back and has healed up nicely.
“I don’t care if people think this is wrong.
“What’s wrong is unaffordable health care.

“I rolled the dice on my mole because finding financial support is slim to none.”
Anne, from Las Vegas, Nevada, shared a video of her DIY dermatology appointment to her social media where the video gathered over 4.9m views.
She said: “After posting the video I realised 80% of people in the comments agree with me and have been doing this for ages.
“So, you can shame me all you want, but until you get to the root of the issue – which is the structure of American health care – you can take your judgement and kiss my mole free ass.”

In the clip on TikTok, Anne can be seen holding a cotton ball over the bloody side of her face.
She grabs a plaster and sticks it to the area.
Anne then shows the camera the once attached mole and breathes a sigh of relief.
She captioned the post: “When you cut the mole off because who’s paying for a dermatologist in this economy.”
It has since gained 234,000 likes and 6,200 comments from followers.
