Brew-loving Brits have been left baffled by a mum-of-two’s new cup of tea hack where she uses a radiator to make it.

Whitney Aincough decided to use the heat from it to help make her cuppa.

The 30-year-old filled her mug with cold water, dropped her tea bag in with four sweeteners and then rested it on the top of the radiator.

After doing so she then went over to her home heating device and cranked it up to 27 degrees.

Half an hour later, the mug had warmed up and the cuppa just needed a splash of milk and it was ready.

Whitney, of Rotherham, even claimed that leaving your freshly made tea on the radiator could keep it warm throughout the day.

Despite claiming it as a hack the average cost of using a radiator for half an hour in the UK is way more expensive than boiling the kettle.

The average price for a UK home to use central heating for half an hour sits at £0.72 whilst a kettle would cost just £0.01 to boil, as reported by What’s The Jam.

Jackie Traynor said: “Or you can just boil the kettle.”

Sarah Jane Hollinsworth stated: “Easier and cheaper to boil the kettle.

“Some of us can’t afford to put radiators on.”

Charlotte Hargreaves said: “Stick with the kettle lovely.”
