In a clip, which has racked up over 5,900 views and hundreds of likes, she reveals how her hat and phone did the job.
And it left other passengers impressed.
“The old man next to me thought it was very clever,” the photographer and content creator, from Surrey, told What’s The Jam.

“As there was nowhere to place my phone to watch any videos, this did the trick for me.
“I’ll now always bring my hat on flights.”

In the video, she’s placed her hat on the coat loop, found on the back of the seat in front.
She’s popped her phone in the centre, holding it perfectly in place.
And Maddison was able to catch-up on the latest with Love Island without any hand cramps or awkward positions.

She captioned the clip: “To the human that came up with this hack, I salute you.
“Complete game changer.”
Maddison added: “The right size hat can make sure your phone stays put.
“Clip it onto the coat hook or tray table lever to lock it in.
“I’ve also done this before by using a napkin and putting it behind my phone case, then securing that instead.”
