Parents have been spotted deploying speedy kids in ‘life or death’ sunbed wars mayhem in order to secure the best loungers.
Jay Smith was left watching from his balcony in horror as his fellow hotel guests sprinted across the pool area during the morning rush.
The 35-year-old could not believe his eyes as young kids armed with towels burst past fuming adults to nick the best sunbeds.

The mayhem which started to brew from 7am onwards until the pool opened two hours later – was labelled a ‘life or death’ situation.
“It was a life or death situation that you secured the sunbeds,” Jay, from Yorkshire, told What’s The Jam.
“We personally never woke up to secure a bed because that’s embarrassing.
“We just went to the adults only area.
“The hotel did nothing.

“It was a free for all.”
The footage was captured at the Paradise Fun Park Fun Lifestyle Hotel, Tenerife, on 23 Jul.
The clip quickly went viral, racking up over 290,000 views – which caused plenty of drama at the hotel for Jay.

According to the holidaymaker, the Brits who had seen the video whilst at the hotel began making the trip very ‘awkward’.
Jay said: “We overheard the guest down below reading all the comments on TikTok of people slagging them off online calling them universal credit and tramps.
“I had to go down and speak with them about it.
“I approached the family reading out the comments and an elderly woman of the group said ‘oh here he is’ so I just ignored her and spoke with one of the couples.
“They asked for it to be taken off because it’s gone viral.
“They said it’s funny, but it’s viral and they didn’t want that.
“I advised you can’t see their faces but to not make the holiday awkward I took it down.”
According to Jay, the other guests seemed to love the morning rush for sunbeds.
He said: “A lot of them were laughing which to me seemed like they really enjoyed this part of the holiday.
“The sunbed wars made me feel like I was in a low class hotel.
“The hotel is four stars which is not too bad and the food was great.
“Just that one kid’s pool was always the centre of attention every morning.”
