It might be September but summer isn’t over just yet.
A Scottish holidaymaker has praised a stranger who went down poolside at 11pm to remove towels belonging to “selfish” hotel guests trying to bag a lounger before the day had even begun.
She was even more delighted when the weather shifted with greedy tourists stuck in the rain.

Sarah Watson, a solo twin mum from Roslin, Midlothian, was staying at the Fergus Cala Blanca Suites in Santa Ponsa, Mallorca.
Soon enough, the 30-year-old noticed guests sneaking out each night to claim sun beds for the next day.
Sharing her frustrations, the mum took to TikTok, where her clip, shared on 31 August, of the unknown hero patrolling poolside and removing towels, has racked up over 123,000 views.
Sarah told What’s The Jam: “Each night people would put towels on sunbeds to reserve them for the next day.
“At about 11pm, this lady had had enough and went out to start removing the towels off the beds.”

Sarah also posted a clip of herself sipping water poolside, sharing the follow-up to the drama.
“Sitting by the pool watching the selfish people who came down at 11pm last night to secure a sun bed, only for it to rain all day so they leave is the most enjoyable part of my holiday so far,” she said.
Social media users have been quick to react to the mystery woman’s late-night crusade.

Veronika said: “It’s only funny cos it’s not me (never been on all inclusive holiday).”
Tasha said: “Yess!!! Well done mystery lady!!”
Ellie added: “We complained to the manager last week about this shocking – sat in the same block as you watching them at 11.40pm and a lot of beds were gone.”
Nicola Lee said: “Loungers at Fergus hotels are so close together, like you’re expected to literally sweat on a total stranger.”
Someone else offered a workaround, saying: “I just tip the staff well on the first day and they save me chairs.”
Another person added: “My fav thing to do is go out at 3am and pile all the towels into a pile on the ground by the gate. If we gonna play games I’ma play them too.”
