A unique relic found on Facebook Marketplace has been turned into a one-of-a-kind guesthouse.
And it’s alleged that the Chinook CH-47D was recognised by a veteran who flew the helicopter while in Afghanistan, as reported by What’s The Jam.
Inside, there’re two bedrooms, with four beds, a fully-stocked kitchen and a bathroom – remodelled with the Airbnb’s history in mind.

The main bedroom, nestled within the cockpit, is complete with a double bed and two swivel chairs which overlook the expansive five-acre grounds.
Other beds can be found as a pullout sofa in the living area, along with another double situated toward the back of the helicopter, which opens out to the rear balcony that used to be the loading bay.
Throughout, the original metal panelling, circular windows and framework have been retained to stay true to the aircraft’s authenticity.
Within the kitchen and living area, custom epoxy poured countertops have been created, along with custom tiles in the bathroom in a bid to view the “bones” of the Chinook.
And that’s just inside – with outside offering more spectacular features.

From the wooden pergola with fuelled barbecue, al fresco dining area and games corner, the rental has everything needed for a once-in-a-lifetime getaway.
The Chinook was restored and renovated by Brent Venderley and Peter Kucinski after they spotted it for sale on Facebook Marketplace.
After its veteran service, it was used as an office for a local skydiving company – but after a year in their hands, it was ready to stay in.

Listed as a “Guest Favourite” on Airbnb, the unique stay can be booked for a two-night minimum for an estimated £200 per night.
