A wannabe bodybuilder swallowed 39 coins and 37 magnets because he thought the zinc in them would beef him up.
The 26-year-old got a tummy ache and started being sick.
He also struggled to eat for nearly three weeks.
The unnamed man went to A&E in pain.

Doctors were shocked when the foreign objects showed up on an X-ray.
Surgeons successfully removed them at the hospital in Delhi, India.
His relatives said he’d been ingesting them for several weeks.

The operation team discovered that some of the magnets had attracted to each other through a loop in the intestine, eroding the intestinal walls.

They also repaired the damage to his internal organs.
The whole op lasted nearly two hours.

The man was discharged in good health on Sunday (25 Feb) after spending seven days in hospital.
He allegedly swallowed the coins because he thought the zinc in them would help build up muscle.
He ingested the magnets so the coins would remain in his intestine and he could continue absorbing their zinc.
Dr Tarun Mittal from the surgical team said: “I would like to inform people that ingestion of these foreign bodies can be life-threatening and should not be done.”
Bodybuilders take zinc because it plays a role in tissue repair, as well as testosterone production.
