A doctor who graduated from Harvard University has revealed the effects of eating eggs for two weeks on the body.

And prolonged exposure doesn’t just impact eyesight; it can disrupt sleep and contributes to age-related macular degeneration, reports What’s The Jam.
But Dr Saurabh Sethi has revealed the superfood that could help ease these issues; eggs – but only if they’re eaten every day for two weeks straight.

In a clip, which has racked up 747,000 views and over 12,000 likes, he explains the effects.
The 43-year-old, from California, US, said: “Your eyes will get protective nutrients.

“Egg yolks contain lutein and zeaxanthin which are the antioxidants that help filter high energy, blue light and support eye health.
“Eggs also provide sulfur-containing amino acids that help your body produce keratin.
“This is important for hair, skin and nails.

“Your brain can benefit as eggs are rich in choline; a nutrient used to make acetylcholine which is a neurotransmitter important for memory and focus.
“Your cholesterol profile can improve, too.
“In many people, eggs can actually increase HDL; the good cholesterol.”
The doctor, who boasts 1.5m followers on Instagram (@doctor .sethi), notes that if you’re vegan, soy-based foods, such as tofu, tempeh and edamame, offer the closest plant-based protein to eggs – so the benefits can still be reaped elsewhere.
