A bride has revealed why she had a breast reduction before her wedding after being harassed due to her 36GG cup size.
Throughout her life, Rochielle Parkes has always had to deal with unwanted attention – usually led by the size of her chest.
Men constantly stared, whistled and made crude comments.

With her wedding around the corner, the 33-year-old decided to undergo a “life-changing” surgery, taking her breasts from a 36GG to a 36C.
It meant she was finally able to fit into the dress of her dreams.
“The ultimate moment that made me decide that enough was enough was when I went to my first wedding dress fitting,” Rochielle, from Coventry, told What’s The Jam.
“Since I had a custom-designed dress being made in the Philippines, I was told by my dress designer that I would need to wear one of my regular bras under my wedding dress.
“And I would need to ship one to them since they didn’t cater for my breast size in that country.

“There was no way I was going to wear one of my bras on my wedding, so I was extremely determined to get the breast reduction done before then.
“From looking at our wedding photos, I still can’t believe that I reached my goal of having a smaller chest for the wedding.
“I was able to have the body that I had dreamed of.”

Three months before her wedding, Rochielle went under the knife.
She spent the next eight weeks recovering and is overjoyed with her 36C chest.
Describing her experience of having large breasts, she explains that the unwanted comments started when she was just a young student.
She said: “People would assume I was promiscuous due to having such large breasts and that it would be okay for people to stare at them or ask if they could feel them.
“Girls [at school] would ask if they could feel the size of them since they were so big compared to theirs.
“I even remember one person asking me what foods I ate in order to get such large breasts.”
Men would also make advances.
She said: “[Once], my boyfriend was with me holding my hand and men would shout ‘Get your t*ts out’ from inside their cars.
“One man followed me around during a trip and gestured for me to open my top.
“And during a holiday with my boyfriend, I was followed by a group of men at a family theme park.
“They were taking photos of me and my large chest since they made gestures about how big my boobs were.”
Unfortunately, it’s not only the emotional pain that comes with having a large chest.
Rochielle also started to get sores underneath her breasts.
She said: “It was usual for me to get sores underneath my breast once every couple of months, but then it gradually became a monthly occurrence.
“I had to make sure that I always carried large dressing pads to cover the wounds.
“I also had shoulder and back pain.
“There was one occasion where my husband asked if I had spilt ketchup on my white top.
“I was horrified to find a patch of blood under my breast and it made me self-conscious.”
In January 2023, Rochielle decided she’d had enough.
Having found a recommended surgeon online, she booked herself in for an operation.
Rochielle is thrilled with the results.
She added: “My previous breasts were not in proportion to my body and now with my new breasts, I feel a lot more feminine and happier with my body.
“I also no longer suffer from the sores under my breasts and that’s been a huge relief.
“My surgeon, Mark Solomos did an incredible job, and I’m so glad that I went on my breast reduction journey.
“The neck and shoulder pain that I had every second of the day went immediately after the surgery – I couldn’t believe that this went instantly.
“Overall, my mental and physical health has improved drastically since having a smaller chest.
“I wish I had done it sooner.”
