Michael Barrymore has revealed that he has plans to move to the seaside after buying a countryside home.
The TV legend – once one of Britain’s highest-paid stars – was spotted taking part in a TikTok trend where people write their achievements on a piece of paper, attach them to a stick and put them in a cake.
In the clip, Michael can be seen sitting at a table with a small cake in front of him, where he shares achievements including “I’ve only had three seizures this year”, “I met Ed Sheeran and PinkPantheress” and “15 years sober”.

He then reveals: “I bought a house by the sea, so I’m off down to the seaside in 2026, yay.”
The 73-year-old smiles after making the admission, though he doesn’t reveal where he is set to move to.
The clip was filmed in Shepherd’s Bush, London, on New Year’s Eve and has since gone viral, racking up 459,300 views.
Michael shot to fame in the 1980s and 1990s with hit ITV shows like Strike It Lucky, My Kind of People and Barrymore.
He later appeared on Celebrity Big Brother and Dancing on Ice, as reported by What’s The Jam.

Speculation has recently grown that Michael is planning a move to the seaside, after making multiple trips to Cornwall and telling fans on social media that he’d like to live by the sea.
Sarah said: “Are you going to live permanently down here in Cornwall?”
Stacey added: “Fantastic achievements Michael! I hope you enjoy living by the sea!”

After years in the public eye, the move could mark a new chapter for Michael as he looks ahead to a quieter life by the ocean.
While he hasn’t confirmed which seaside location he plans to move to, he says the move will take place in 2026.
