An influencer has revealed the secret to her success was her “Instagram husband”, who got up at 4 am to snap her photos.
Lorna Luxe shot to fame on Instagram in 2015, gaining over 100,000 followers in just one year – and now has over 1.6m fans.
The social media star became famous for her iconic outfit posts on Bond Street in London.

When she started sharing “get ready with me” videos, her fanbase soared to over a million.
Speaking on a podcast, Lorna spilled the secret she believes made her social media empire take off, as reported by What’s The Jam.
She said, “I think having an Instagram husband is the reason why I grew when other people didn’t back then.

“We didn’t get paid for it [posting on Instagram], so I couldn’t hire anyone to take my photo.
“Sometimes in the week, if he was working, he drove into London at four in the morning so I would do my makeup in the car.”

Speaking on the Passenger Princess podcast, Lorna added, “I’d be like, where are we going to shoot today? We would drive into central London, usually like South Ken and Chelsea, where the pretty houses were.
“We would do a little street style shoot and then he’d drive to Canary Wharf and I would get a train home.”
The couple, who have been married for 16 years, live in Warwickshire and have a 21-year age gap.

They met when Lorna was 25 during her eight-year career as a Virgin Atlantic air hostess, and later married in New York.

In one of Lorna’s standout Bond Street posts, she posed outside Tiffany & Co wearing a green shirt with a plunging neckline, hot pink sandal heels and a matching Chanel bag.
Another post, captioned: “Mr Luxe has finally agreed to let us try for a baby… a Birkin,” saw Lorna donning a sleek all-black outfit with a dark grey Balenciaga jacket and another Chanel bag.
Her hair was swept back into a high, messy bun, and she added black sunglasses to shield from the early morning sun.
Her “Instagram husband,” John, 64, is still battling stage three cancer, having undergone chemotherapy in April 2023.
About a year later, the disease spread to his brain and adrenal gland, but Lorna shared a positive update earlier this year.
She said: “A positive update from us… John’s scans came back; his brain is clear of any cancer, which is something he was nervous about.
“But the best news is that his oncologist has given the go-ahead to operate on the tumour he has on his adrenal gland.”
Lorna also posted a sweet snap of John to her story yesterday, captioning it: “He’s looking (and feeling) so good atm… there’s deffo an angel looking down on us.”
