A snap of Heath Ledger, which he signed just a month before he died, has sold for £5,460 at auction – 13 times more than it was expected to.

The late actor was dressed as The Joker in the Batman movie Dark Knight in the photograph.

He signed it at the London screening of Bob Dylan’s biopic ‘I’m Not There’ – which he starred in, in December 2007.
